UDHAMPUR: Minister for R&B, Floriculture, Garden and Parks, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today convened a meeting at Udhampur to take stock of restoration work of Jammu- Srinagar National Highway(NH) at Kheri.
He also reviewed the relief measures being put in place for the stranded passengers by the district administration.
The Minister directed the district administration to maintain close coordination with army and 35 BRTF for early restoration of National Highway and emphasized on providing requisite assistance to the stranded passengers.
During the meeting, the Minister also reviewed the various developmental projects and achievements of various departments. He directed the concerned officers to redouble their efforts to achieve the targets in stipulated time frame.
Bukhari said that the administration would be made more accountable to provide better services to the people and ensure visible change on ground.
District Development Commissioner, s. Yasha Mudgal apprised about the measures taken by the district administration to provide relief to the passengers stranded in Udhampur due to landslide .
Among others, Chief Engineers PWD, Secretary Technical, R&B, Joint Director Planning, Senior Superintendent of Police, senior officers of civil, Police, BRTF and Army were also present in the meeting.(GNS)
