SRINAGAR: The Cardiology Department of SMHS Hospital has been equipped with 3-D Electro-physiological Mapping and Ablation Machine for the first time in the State. This State of Art 3-D Electrophysiological and Mapping and Ablation system is used to cure various life threatening heart diseases besides treating atrial and ventricular arrhythmias by Radio-frequency Ablation Method. This 3-D Cardio physiological System can also go a long way in helping research scholars of this College pursuing various research projects in this institution.
This was given out by the Principal Government Medical College, Srinagar here today. He said that the installation of this three dimensional cardio physiological mapping and ablation system in this Hospital. The patients will not require to go outside the State for getting the necessary investigation and treatment for the said diseases. Installation of this high tech equipment will put the Cardiology Department of SMHS Hospital on international map in future.
