Cooperation sought from stakeholders
Jammu: The Directorate of Economics and Statistics, J&K is preparing Business Registers of establishments registered under various Acts/Authorities with an aim to compile accurate and realistic State Domestic estimates and District Domestic estimates for the purpose of preparation of State income.
In this regard a validation survey has been undertaken to vet data regarding establishments obtained from various registering authorities in the State regarding establishments registered under various Acts /Authorities such as Factories Act, 1948, Shops and Establishments, Act Societies Registration Act, Cooperative Society Act, Khadi and Village Industries Board, Director of Industries/ Districts Industries Centre and Indian Companies Act, etc in the State.
The preparation of Business Register will also form frame work for follow up surveys regarding registered and unregistered business establishment/services establishments of the state economy.
The Survey has been assigned to MIPS Technologies and all the stakeholders/owners of establishments/business enterprises are requested to cooperate with the staff and provide requisite information to them.
