Srinagar: The daily-rated workers from all the Government Departments of Jammu and Kashmir will stage a protest on March 18 in Jammu district.
In a statement, Jammu and Kashmir Casual and Daily-wagers Forum (JKCDF) Chairman Sajad Parrey said that all the daily wagers from both Kashmir and Jammu provinces during an important meeting in Jammu decided to fight for the rights of daily-wagers under the new banner of Jammu and Kashmir Working Coordination Committee.
While welcoming the statement of Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu, Sajad Parrey said that the daily wagers of the State are hopeful that the new government at dispensation would resolve their issue once for all.
He said that daily wager leaders from both the provinces will address an important press briefing in Jammu on March 18 and will also stage a peaceful protet that day.
We are going to chalk out future strategy on March 18 to ensure that all the daily rated workers from all the departments including PHE, Tourism, Agriculture and Horticulture, PDD, Forest, R&B, Floriculture who have been adjusted since 1994 till date get permanent posts in their respective departments, he said.
Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Employees and Working Association president, Mir Tariq Pampori has said that the dailywagers are this time sure that Mufti led governmnet will adjust all the daily rated workers permanently.
