Srinagar: With 77 more people testing positive for swine flu, the toll has reached 267in Kashmir valley.
Out of total 94 samples tested, 77 are positive for H1N1 which takes confirmed cases of H1N1 positive to 267, PRO SKIMS said in a statement to KNS.
She said that 77 tested positive included from 144 backlog samples SKIMS had received during shifting of the lab. The status of 65 samples which include five samples taken on Tuesday are under process. 111 patients were seen today at special OPD at SKIMS and more two patients admitted at isolation ward were discharged, she added and advised people not to panic.
Govt releases Rs 11.93 cr
Jammu: Following the Cabinet decision yesterday regarding immediate establishment of Swine Flu (H1N1) testing laboratory at Government Medical College, Jammu the Planning & Development Department today released Rs 6.30 Crore in favour of the Health & Medical department for the purpose.
In another order, Rs 5.635 Cr was released for establishing H1N1 testing Facility at Chest Disease Hospital, Srinagar.
The Cabinet had taken a serious view of the non-availability of testing facilities for H1N1 in Jammu and had ordered for the immediate establishment of a testing facility at GMC, Jammu. Besides, the Cabinet had also directed to start a 2nd H1N1 testing facility at the Chest Disease Hospital, Srinagar.
