DFP Distances From Anti-Sikh Posters

Srinagar: Completely distancing itself from posters published against Sikh community across Valley, Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Friday said some unknown agencies are hell bent upon maligning the ongoing freedom movement by resorting to such means.

“These elements can never succeed in their cheap and nefarious designs to malign the resistance movement and to create gulf between Muslims and other religions,” a spokesperson of DFP in a statement to KNS. “Some elements have attributed the messages of Democratic Freedom Party on social media which is despicable and provoking. The minorities are very well aware of the stand of DFP chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah in their regard and it is nothing but the handiwork of agencies and communal elements to defame the pro-freedom camp and spread communalism.” Commenting on the centuries old mutual communal harmony and brotherhood in the state, the spokesperson said, “It has been our responsibility to secure and safeguard the lives, honour and properties of the minorities.”
