Army organises swine flu awareness camp

Srinagar: A medical and swine flu awareness camp was organized by the Army under the aegis of Chinar Corps at Dara Village of Manasbal area to address the medical requirement of the local populace.

In a statement a defence spokesman said “It was a long awaited request by the locals who had approached the RR camp at Dara. A total of three medical officers from the Army including a civilian Medical Officer alongwith ancillary staff were involved in the camp. Approximately 450 locals (Male – 282 Female – 138 and children – 30) of nearby villages were provided medical assistance.”
