SRINAGAR: Rains continued to lash Valley for the second consecutive day Wednesday resulting in the massive water-logging in most parts of the capital city disrupting traffic and causing traffic snarls.
Almost all the interior roads were inundated while people found it difficult to move in different areas. In some areas of the city people used boats to cross the water-logged roads.
The commuters in Srinagar expressed their disappointment over indifference of authorities for not improving the faulty drainage system in the city. The drainage system here is worst; a slight rainfall submerges all the roads which lead to traffic jams for hours together causing inconvenience to the people. said Khalid Ahmad a government employee.
