ANANTNAG:- Anantnag Maternity Hospital was shifted back to safe building at Sherbagh following public pressure. The hospital had been relocated to unsafe building in Janglat Mandi mysteriously recently despite department of fire and emergency services declaring that unfit.
President local Trade Union Mr Farooq Ahmed said that sufficient facilities are available for patients in Sherbagh building. The hundred bed Maternity and Child Care Hospital Anantnag has highest bed occupancy in South Kashmir according to official records and is catering rush from not only South but from the far flung areas including Banihal.
Meanwhile an employer Nisar Ahmed said that administration took good step by shifting Hospital to its own place and urged authorities to equip the hospital with modern equipment so that they are not forced to refer patients to Srinagar..
