SRINAGAR: The PDP patron and the former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is dismayed by the dismal performance of his partys sitting legislators who lost the battle of 2014 state elections on Tuesday, party sources said.
Sources said that the PDP patron is deeply anguished over the loss of several sitting PDP MLAs during the ongoing state elections, saying that the results vindicate that they were not in close coordination with the people of their respective areas.
Mufti, according to sources has also censured the sitting legislators who lost the battle, saying they might not have been privy to peoples issues in their respective areas.
The PDPs sitting MLAs who lost the polls during Tuesdays results include Bandipore MLA Nizzam-ud-din Bhat, Abdul Gaffar Sofi of Homeshali Bugh, Peerzada Mansoor from Shangus , Dr Shafi Ahmad Wani from Beeru, Devsars Sartaj Madani and Rafi Ahmad Mir from Pahalgam.
Had the sitting legislators been successful in the polls, PDP tally would have gone upto 36. KNS
