Srinagar: Congress candidate for Eidgah Assembly segment in Srinagar city Saturday alleged that in a bid to lure voters, incumbent legislator and National Conference candidate and his son were distributing street lights, blankets, grocery items among people at Pamposh Colony Palapora.
In a written complaint filed by the Congress candidate Imtiyaz Ahmed before the District Election Officer, NC candidate for Eidgah constituency has been violating the Model Code of Conduct and with the help of his son was distributing street lights, blanket and grocery items among voters.
We spotted the son of the NC candidate installing street lights at Pamposh Colony Palapora. He ferries grocery items and blankets in a private vehicle (JK01T-3576) for distribution purposes among voters, the complaint reads. (CNS)
