Kulgam: Panic gripped in Havoora hamlet of Kulgam district when, according to locals, Army soldiers picked up three persons and shifted them to unknown destination, during nocturnal raids.
The family members of the detained persons said that during the dead of the night, two armoured vehicles appeared in Havoora Reidwani and raided their houses. They were Army soldiers and they dragged out our sons from their houses and whisked them away to some unknown destination, the family members said and identified the arrested youth as Bashir Ahmed Alaie son of Abdul Hameed, Ghulam Muhammad Alaie son of Muhammad Ahsan and Parvez Ahmed Lone son of Muhammad Abdullah.
They said that police is feigning ignorance about the matter while some are informing them it was an Army party from North Kashmirs Handwara town. We dont know why and who arrested them. They are all innocent, the family members said.
When contacted, SP Kulgam Mumtaz Ahmed said that he does not have any idea about the matter. (CNS)
