SRINAGAR: The chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani has called for a shutdown and protests in Kulgam district on Saturday.
Talking to GNS, he said: We condemn the killing of the youth. Police and army are on killing spree and our youth are being killed without any justification. Earlier it was Chattergam and now Kulgam.
He called on people to held protests against the killing and said: We appeal people of Kulgam to observe complete shutdown against the killing on Saturday and also protest peacefully.
Paying tributes to the slain youth, Geelani appealed people to boycott upcoming polls. People should remember that the hands of pro-India political parties are soaked with the blood of our youth, he said, adding, those who take part in polls actually betray martyrs. (GNS)
