SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry today adopted a new constitution at its extra ordinary general meeting The meeting earlier deliberated on the various aspects and later passed the draft amendments of articles of association.
The long pending amendments to the constitution of the KCC&I was finally completed and placed before the EOGM.
The amendments of the constitution were drafted by a standing Constitution Amendment Committee of the KCC&I which took more than a year to moot all proposed amendments to various sections of constitution meticulously.
The final draft amendments had been first passed in the Special Executive Committee meeting of KCC&I held on 28thof October, 2013 and have now been adopted formally in the EOGM according to the provisions of the Companies Act with modifications wherever so required in some of the clauses.
The new constitution will come in effect immediately.
The meeting presided was over by Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, President, KCC&I. Besides general members Past President Mr. G.M. Dug, Mr. Nazir Ahmad Bakshi, Dr. Mubeen Shah & Mr. Abdul Hamid Punjabi were also present in the EOGM.
