Karachi Veteran journalist, analyst and anchorperson Hamid Mir, who was seriously injured in an assassination bid in Karachi in April, has shifted to London along with his family.
According to a private TV channel, Mir, accompanied by his wife and daughter left for London along through PIA flight PK613 on Friday morning. His son Yasir Arafat is already in London for educational purposes.
Source said that during his stay in the British capital, 47-year-old Mir will consult doctors for medical treatment.
Mir was on his way to Geo TVs office after leaving Karachi Airport on April 19 when four gunmen riding two motorcycles opened fire on his car on Sharae Faisal near Natha Khan Goth. He had received six bullet wounds and was shifted to Agha Khan Hospital, from where he was discharged after nearly three weeks.
His brother Amir had accused Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt. Gen Zaheer-ul-Islam of being behind the attack.
