Srinagar: The formation of the new regime at the centre and coming to power of Narendra Modi is indicative of a positive development towards the bilateral relations between India and Pakistan.
Saying this President of Awami National Conference , Begum Khalida Shah said that the gesture of Indias would be Prime Minister, Narendra Modi of cordially inviting the Pakistani President, Mian Nawaz Sahrif over his oath taking ceremony and his consequent acceptance of the invitation was a very positive development and a very important and vital step for the betterment of the people of both the nations.
According to a statement , Begum Khalida Shah further stated that if the heads of both the Nations shun the extremist and bloody stands against each other and adopt a policy of adjustment, adaptation and understanding over the long pending bilateral issues of concern then a new sun of progress, prosperity and friendship would certainly dawn the two nations. Begum Shah further expressed her hope that under such conditions and environment the long pending Kashmir Imbroglio could also receive a sustainable and peaceful settlement and solution. Begum Shah further pressed both the nations to realize the need of mutual cooperation and coexistence for a sustained and prosperous survival of both the giants of South Asia.
