Srinagar, May 19 : One person died while seven persons got injured in different road accidents across the valley.
According to a statement , a Wagon-R bearing registration number JK13A/8006 driven by Mohammad Ishaq Khan son of Abdul Gani resident of Jowbrara, Awantipora hit and injured a pedestrian Teerak Singh son of Ishrat Singh resident of Ashmuqam at Galander National Highway. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. Police has registered a case FIR number 61/14 under section 279, 337 RPC in this regard.
Meanwhile, a Santro car bearing registration number JK01S/4319 hit a motor Cycle bearing registration number DL3SB/4380 at Laam, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Nishat resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and a pillion. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a XYLO vehicle bearing registration number JK09/5897 on way from Kupwara to Sopore hit and injured a person Wali Mohammad Lone son of Haji Munwar Lone resident of Shart Muqam Near National Highway at Drugmulla, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kupwara. The injured was shifted to Bone & Joints Hospital Barzulla, Srinagar for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another road accident, a motorcycle bearing number TEMP-4-K877 (Royal En-Field) driven by Tsewaing Panchoo son of Lamchung Tsewaing fresident of Saspol Leh hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Rasool Chopan son of Ghulam Ahmad Chopan resident of Goripora Kangan Near Petrol Pump Wussan, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
An unknown tipper hit and injured a 08 years old boy Burhan Ahmed Sheikh son of Mohammad Shafi resident of Qaimoh near Ziyarat Sharief Qaimoh, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kulgam, Anantnag. The injured was shifted to Bone & Joints Hospital Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered by police in this regard.
Two lady constables namely Nahida and Aarifat of 18 Bn who were on way to Zewan on a Scooty were hit and injured by a truck near Flyover Hyderpora. Both the injured have been shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment.
