SRINAGAR: In a shocking incident, a 29-year-old pervert raped a six-year-old girl in Bemina locality of Srinagar city.
Police sources said, that Zaid Aslam Khan son of Muhammad Aslam Khan lured a nine year old girl to his house when she was heading to a local Darsgah in Hamdania Colony Bemina on Tuesday.
Police has arrested the accused and confirmed the rape.
After receiving a complaint from the family of the victim, we arrested the accused and he is right now behind the bars, a police official from Parimpora police station said adding that a case vide FIR number 39/2014 under section 376 has been registered against the accused.
The police official said that the medical examination of the victim has confirmed the rape.
Meanwhile, locals alleged that the area is becoming hub of immoral activities while scores of youth addicted to drugs and liquor roam freely in the area. They appealed to the police to start a drive against these urchins at an earliest.(CNS)
