Srinagar: Former Indian Airlines hijacker and Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Liberation Party (JKDLP) Hashim Qureshi today went through the triple vain bypass surgery at a hospital near Delhi and the surgery took six hours to complete.
Sources said that Qureshi had three vital veins blocked and that the surgery was today carried out at Maidanta Gurgaon. The surgery started at 9 in the morning and was completed at 2P.M today.
A party spokesman said that Qureshi has been shifted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and that the doctors have advised him to take at least 3 week rest and only after that he could be discharged from the hospital.
