Winter Knocking at Valley Doors
SRINAGAR: With the forecast of snow in higher reaches of the Kashmir Valley, about four to five degree Celsius is expected to fall in next 48 hours, an official from Meteorological (MeT) department said on Tuesday.
We are expecting light rain in plains and light snowfall in higher reaches of the Valley during next two days, said Sonam Lotus, Director, Meteorological Department.
He said that about four to five notches will fall from the minimum temperature in the Valley which is 3.3 degree at present in Srinagar area. The sky is expected to remain cloudy in the next 48 hours, Lotus added.
With mercury recording a rapid dip in many parts of the Jammu and Kashmir during nights; winter has come knocking in Kashmir.
