SRINAGAR: Normal life was crippled Saturday on the first day of two day long strike called by Syed ali Geelani to protest recent spate of killings by the paramilitary forces in Shopian district.
All major markets in Srinagar and in major towns across Kashmir valley remain shut and public transport is largely off the routes.
Though curfew restrictions have been lifted from South Kashmir town of Ananantnag, it remained in force for the fourth day in Shopian.
