SRINAGAR: Terming the police confession that the four persons killed in Shopian were innocent civilians as an eye opener for Indian civil society and world community, APHC led by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq on Tuesday appealed international human rights organizations to pressurize New Delhi to stop the bloodshed of innocent Kashmiris and solve the Kashmir issue once and for all.
Expressing complete solidarity with the people the APHC strongly denounced the government action of imposing curfew in Shopian.
The conglomerate has paid tributes to the courage of inhabitants of Shopian.
Resorting to often repeated dictatorial tactics, government once again placed chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest so as to sabotage the joint executive and general council meeting of the conglomerate on Tuesday which was convened to discuss the Gagran killings, worsening rights situations, and tense relations between India and Pakistan, an APHC spokesman said.
Alleging that the state was being ruled by despots the spokesman said government by doing so has once again restricted the religious, political and social activity of Mirwaiz (head priest) of Kashmir.
