Srinagar: A record 23500 candidates, from all over the state, were registered online for the J&K SET examination, 2013. Adequate measures were taken for online redressal of the grievances of the candidates and the job was nicely carried out to the entire satisfaction of all involved.

Prof. G.M. Rather, Department of Chemistry, University of Kashmir, discharged his duties as Coordinator, J&K SET; Prof. Fayaz Ahmad, Department of Zoology (Director DIQA) and Prof. Keshav Sharma, Controller of Examinations, University of Jammu, performed their duties as coordinators for Srinagar and Jammu Centres respectively.
15 sub-Centres were constituted at Srinagar for about 13000 candidates and 21 centres were constituted at Jammu for 10576 candidates. Senior faculty members were appointed to oversee and monitor the conduct of the examination arranged through a fool proof and credible system. The University of Kashmir acknowledges the commendable efforts and cooperation rendered by the UGC observers, members of the monitoring squads, Principals of Colleges / Institutions, officials appointed at the examination centres, officials at the collection centres and police personnel, is deeply acknowledged.
