We were inside our house when earthquake occured. We got scared that our house might collapse, Syed Zaman Ali, a local resident said.
We couldnt even move out of our houses as there are restrictions imposed in the area, Zaman added.
It is pertinently to mention here that on August 3, similar quakes were reported from Kishtwar and its adjacent areas in which over 100 buildings including government structures developed cracks. Two persons including a jawan of the Shashatra Seema Bal were injured in the last quake.
Kishtwar, which is under curfew for last six days due to communal clashes that broke out last week on Eid-ul-Fitr, has reported 3 deaths and more than 40 injuries so far. There are complete restriction in the area on part of authorities to prevent any further violence and arson.
