SRINAGAR: Criticizing his own party for failing to restore the autonomy to the state, senior National Conference leader and Member Parliament, Ghulam Nabi Ratanpuri Tuesday said that his party was fooling public by raising the slogans of autonomy.
NC has failed to grant autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir when it was in majority and now being in minority how this party could succeed in achieving this goal, Ratanpuri said.
Ratanpuri was speaking at a seminar, titled Implementation of Special Education Package for J&K in Government College for Women Srinagar on Tuesday.
Ratanpuri on record said that Central Government was not serious on Autonomy issue and neither was this subject ever discussed by anyone with New Delhi.
Ratanpuri said that when National Conference was in majority then it failed to grant autonomy to the state and now how is it possible for this party to get autonomy when it was running the government with the help of Congress party.
People should understand that NC is misleading people over the issue of autonomy. People know everything and have come to know about the nefarious designs of these parties who befool people, he said. (CNS)
