BANDIPORE: In order to discuss the implementation of Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Sex Detection Test (PC and PNDT) Act, a meeting of District Advisory Committee was held under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Bandipore, Mr. M.Y. Zargar here today.
It was decided that a special campaign would be started next month during which 10 awareness camps shall be conducted by the Health department in Bandipora, Hajin and Gurez blocks and besides in schools, representatives from Panchayat Institutions, senior citizens and the advocates are being invited to participate in these camps.
The meeting was told that all the 7 Sonological existing clinics are regularly being monitored by the Monitoring Committee in the district.
The District Development Commissioner on this occasion stressed for implementation of the Act in letter and spirit.
Chief Medical Officer, Bandipora, Dr. Malik Bashir besides other members of the Committee attended the meeting.
