Narbal A Clinches Budgam T-20 Title

NARBAL: In the grand finale of Budgam T -20 tournament 2013, Narbal A won the title defeating Sozeith Fighters in a nail biting and enthralling match.

Narbal Cricket Ground was in a festive mood during the final of the month long cricket extravaganza which begun on 15 April 2013. The jam packed Narbal ground witnessed an ecstatic crowd since both finalists Narbal A and Sozieth Fighters were local teams. In this tournament which was organized by 2 Rashtriya Rifles (SIKH LI) under the aegis of Kilo Force, forty eight teams participated with full preparation and displayed their talent and strategy to win the matches and reach the finals.

On 18 May 2013, the final match was witnessed by Jenab Ghulam Hassan Mir, Honourable Minister for Agriculture, Mr Khurshid Ahmed Sha, DC Budgam, Maj Gen Sarath Chand, General Officer Commanding, Kilo Force with Senior Army Officials and civil dignitaries in a colourful and breathtaking cultural function at Narabal Cricket Ground.

Jenab Ghulam Hassan Mir and Maj Gen Sarath Chand, jointly presented the Budgam T-20 Winners Trophy to Narbal A and wished them good luck for the Kashmir Premier League Phase II. Trophy was also presented to runner up team and all the players were presented medals.

After the presentation, Jenab Ghulam Hassan Mir expressed his deep gratitude to Army for the successful organisation of Budgam T-20 Tournament, the biggest talent hunt in the sports arena. He also lauded the efforts of the Army to bring in a brighter future to the awaam of Kashmir in all spheres of life and assured all cooperation in all endeavours. He also exhorted the youths to come forward and join hands with Army to in all future sports and developmental activities.
