Apropos news item, “Rapists Get 6 Months Jail” (Kashmir Observer, March 05). The news should read like this: In a bizarre judgement Honorable judge bought dishonor and shame to himself and to the society by awarding rapist only six month jail term and a meager 1500 (20$) fine. Judge maintained the honor of the clause of Maharajah’s criminal code of 1937.
Allah only is the Savior of unfortunate Kashmiris!

This one was not a case of rape and it appears that you have reported it erroneously. Rape is different from outraging modesty of women . You and Jazib should not jump to conclusions without having a bit of knowledge as to what facts are and what they constitute for.
Little knowledge is a very dangerous thing !
