Restrictions Continue, Businesses Shut in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, MARCH 07: Curfew restrictions remain in force for the second day running today in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of 8 police stations of Srinagar city besides Baramulla and Sopore towns.

Curfew was imposed in areas falling under police stations of Rainawari, Khanyar, Nauhatta, Safa Kadal, Maharajganj, Zadibal, Maisuma and Kral Khud in the city following protests at scores of places in valley against the killing of youth in Baramulla on Tuesday. Authorities said the old city, Baramulla and Sopore will also remain under curfew on Thursday.
