SRINAGAR: Minister for Tourism Mr. G. A. Mir informed the House that 21 TRCs, 24 restaurants and 34 Cafeterias have been constructed during last five years. He said besides undertaking renovation of 8 TRCs and 14 restaurants, the work is apace on 15 TRCs, 4 restaurants and 9 Cafeterias across the state. The Minister was replying to a question by Dr. Shahnaz Ganai.
Replying to another question by Mr. Ghulam Nabi Monga, the Minister said No JKTDC hut, being used by the Government officers in Cheshmashahi area, has been got vacated during the past few years.
The Minister said that some huts are being vacated by Darbar Move officers after Darbar shifts to Jammu as usual, which are being put on-line on the booking portal of JKTDC for reservation by tourists, adding that the steps have been initiated by the Estates department to construct residential quarters at Brein and Nishat to accommodate the officers presently putting up in the huts at Chashmashahi.
