SRINAGAR: Vice Chairman of Peoples Conference led by Bilal Gani Lone, Khwaja Ghulam Ahmad Dar breathe his last on Sunday after a prolonged illness at his native village Jagarpora in North Kashmir. He was 80.
Thousands of people participated in his funeral prayers at his ancestral village.
Dar was among the founding members of Peoples Conference and close associate of Abdul Gani Lone. He was later appointed as Vice Chairman of Peoples Conference led by Bilal Gani Lone.
Terming his death as irrevocable loss to the ongoing movement, various political, social and religious leaders have expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family.
His death is the irreparable loss. He has been associated with Tehreek from day first. The news of his death was a shock for me and I couldnt stop my emotions, Bilal Lone said.
In his condolence message, Sajad Gani Lone has termed the death of Dar as personal loss which created a vacuum. kns
