JAMMU: Three candidates have been declared elected unopposed to the Legislative Council Seats, Retiring Officer for Biennial Election of the Council announced today.
Those elected unopposed included Rani Gargi Baloria of Indian National Congress Party (INC), Devinder Singh Rana of National Conference and Mr. Yashpal Sharma of Peoples Democratic Party.
Thursday was the last date for withdrawal of candidature for Biennial Election of the J&K Legislative Council by the Members of the J&K Legislative Assembly.
Naresh Kumar Gupta and Mohammad Iqbal are contesting for district Doda and Mohammad Muzaffar Parrey, Showkat Hussain Ganie, Abdul Majeed, Syed Naeem Akhtar Andrabi and Shuban Krishen Dudha for Kashmir Province.
