SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq today visited the Parraypora acid-attack victim who is currently undergoing treatment at the Indraprashta Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.
Mirwaiz was accompanied by Hurriyat leader and Peoples Conference Chairman Bilal Gani Lone.
The leaders, according to sources, while expressing anguish over the heinous act expressed sympathies with the victim and her family. They also prayed for speedy recovery of the victim and offered all possible assistance to the family.
Mirwaiz later said such unfortunate and inhuman incidents should be kept away from politics. The visit was only meant to express sympathy with the victim and her family apart from wishing a speedy recovery to the victim. Such incidents are highly condemnable and no politics should be played over them, he said.
