SRINAGAR: A speedy Tata Sumo, driven by one Ajaz Ahmad Pandit, rammed into a roadside electric pole at Zawoora crossing Saturday morning, resulting in his on the spot death.
According to a police, a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK02J/3594 driven by Ajaz Ahmed (22), son of Nazir Ahmad, resident of Zawoora, rammed into an electric pole at Zawoora Crossing, Srinagar, in the jurisdiction of police station Panthachowk, resulting in the death of the driver.
Meanwhile an I-10 Car bearing registration number DL2CAE/2208 on way from Anantnag to Srinagar collided with a Load Carrier bearing registration number JK03C/3494 at Uranhall, Anantnag resulting in injuries to two passengers of the I10. The injured were rushed to hospital for treatment.
A Bus bearing registration number JK 02F/3517 on way from Baramulla to Boniyar collided with an Alto Car bearing registration number JK05A/2089 at National Highway forest check post Gantmulla, Baramulla, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sheeri, resulting in injuries to three persons including Alto driver. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, the statement added.
A truck bearing registration number JK13/4757 collided with an electric transformer at Badshah Nagar, Srinagar. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this accident.
A Tavera bearing registration number JK18/5266 driven by one Waseem Ahmed Padder of Bohgund, Kulgam skidded off the road at National Highway Wangund, Kulgam resulting in injuries to the driver. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
