BANDIPUR: Radio Kashmir Srinagar today held a special Mulaqaat programme with veteran Kashmiri writer, poet and Sufi thinker Prof Rasheed Nazki here.
On the occasion the organizer of the programme Satish Vimal welcomed the guests and presented a brief profile of Prof Nazki.
Dr Ayaz Rasool Nazki presented a paper on the personality of Prof Rasheed Nazki while Dr Mashal Sultanpuri highlighted the creative contribution of Mr Naki in the field of Sufism, poetry, criticism, lexicography and education. Eminent writers Abdul Ahad Hajni and Mohammad Ahsan Ahsan also spoke on the occasion and highlighted many aspects of his literary genius. Professor Rasheed Nazki also spoke on the occasion.
He, in his speech quoted a few of his selected verses and highlighted the main features of his literary being. Prof Nazki thanked the Deputy Director General Bashir Aarif for this initiative. He said that Radio was his first literary platform where he recited his talk sixty years ago live at the then Radio Station situated at Poloview in Srinagar.
Famed folk singer Gulzar Ahmad Ganai and party mesmerized the audience by his musical presentation of Nazkis philosophical and devotional lyrics.
