Headmasters protest against non-release of salaries

SRINAGAR: Headmasters of various government institutions of district Anantnag held protest demonstrations at Deputy Commissioner’s office here demanding release of their salaries immediately. 

Protesters alleged that their salaries have been withheld for last four months causing miseries to their lives.

Protesters said they have been appointed under the Sarva Siksha Abyaan and for last four months their salaries have not been released. They presented a memorandum to the DC Anantnag in this regard who in return assured them release of salaries within week.

Pertinently, central government has stopped the funds to State Government after it has failed to submit last 10 years of utilization of funds of education department under SSA.(KNS)
