SRINAGAR – A city court Tuesday rejected the bail plea of the father-sons trio of Hajeej Travels arrested in a dramatic action here yeaterday and remanded them into police custody till 12th of this month.
According to reports, the company has allegedly duped around 900 Hajj aspirants to the tune of over Rs nine crore over the past two years. Its owner Abdul Wahid Gilkar and two of his sons, Fabiyan and Arsalan, who had gone into hiding for the second time this year, were arrested by Khanyar police in a dramatic way yesterday.
Rejecting their bail application, the chief judicial magistrate Tuesday sent the trio on police remand till November 12. The case will come up for next hearing on November 16. The three accused have been booked under section 420, 406, 295/A of RPC vide FIR No 88/2012 of Police Station, Khanyar. (KNS)
