Anantnag – Eid-ul-Azha were finalized in a high level meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, . Farooq Ahmad Shah with officers of various departments including CAPD, PDP, PHE, Police, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Cooperative Departments, besides representatives of Trade Federation Anantnag.
In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag directed the CAPD officials to make available essential commodities like LPG, Kerosene, Rice etc.
The Traders Federation Anantnag shall establish sale depots in the District Stadium Anantnag and other places where sale of sheep and other essential commodities will be made available at fixed rates.
District Administration has a consensus with Traders Federation Anantnag on the fixation of rate of Qurbani animals and fixed at Rs. 150 Kg live which shall be made available at all the sale depots being established by the district administration.
The checking squads already constituted shall intensify the market checking on daily basis to avoid black marketing, hoarding and profiteering.
The rates for poultry birds have already been fixed @ Rs 90/- Animal Husbandry, Super Bazar and Traders Federation have announced a rebate of 5 percent on the eve of Eid.
