Anantnag – To review the functioning of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) in the Maternity and Childcare Hospital in Anantnag district, the District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah convened a meeting of Medical Officers here today.
Threadbare discussions were held with regard to the successful implementation of RKS in the district.
As many as, 80,000 patients were treated under the scheme during last 6 months in the Maternity and Childcare Hospital, Anantnag, besides, conducting 4274 deliveries, 6 major operations were also performed in the Hospital during the said period.
An amount of Rs. 113.65 lakhs was also provided to 800 beneficiaries under Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY), the meeting was told.
On the occasion, a committee was constituted for conducting inspections and checking of medical stores to curb sale of spurious and sub standard medicine in the district.
District Development Commissioner instructed the Red Cross authorities to provide 100 blankets to the Maternity Childcare Hospital besides, directed the concerned officers to maintain cleanliness in and around the Hospital and ensure availability of necessary facilities to the patients.
