Srinagar – Minister for Health, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma today said that the constructing agency of the new hospital building at District Hospital Anantnag has committed to handover one block of the hospital during current year with strength of 110 beds, 7 theatres and 10 OPD rooms.
The Minister was replying to a Short Notice Question by Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri in the Legislative Council today. He said that since all the wings are functional in M.M. A. B. Memorial Hospital and the present staff consisting of 16 consultants, 22 doctors and 116 paramedical etc will have to look after both the wings of the hospital. However, for smooth functioning of hospital, additional staff is being arranged for the proper management and patient care.
Replying to another Short Notice Question by Mr. Murtaza Ahmad Khan, the Minister said that the reconstruction of the boundary wall adjacent to a private medical shop at sub-district hospital, Surankote will be completed within a fortnight.
