Srinagar – The Legislative Council today unanimously passed a Bill to protect the interest of depositors of financial establishments and for the matters connected therewith or incidental thereto (L.A Bill No. 11 of 2012). The Bill has already been passed by the Legislative Assembly. The Bill was moved by Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather.
The House also passed the Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Employees Provident Fund (and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1961 (L.A Bill No. 12 of 2012). This Bill has also been passed by Legislative Assembly.
The Bill was moved in the House by Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik.
The House passed the Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Water Resources (Regulation and Management) (Amendment) Bill, 2012 (L.A Bill No. 13 of 2012) which has already been passed Legislative Assembly vote.
The Bill was moved by Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Mr. Taj Mohi ud-Din.
Sheikh Ghulam Rasool, Najeeb Suharwardhy, and Murtaza Ahmed Khan spoke on the Bill.
