Srinagar – A deputation of the Kashmir Printers Association, Srinagar, called on Jammu and Kashmir governor N N Vohra, and presented to him a Memorandum of their demands.
The demands presented by the 5-member delegation led by . Shabir Ahmed, President of the Association, included, interalia, taking measures for the growth of printing industry, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the printing industrial units and effective implementation of the provision of 15% price preference for these units as per the industrial policy.
The governor observed that the problems brought up by the Association would be taken up with the Minister for Commerce and Industry, J&K Government. The delegation comprised . G. N. Bangroo, General Secretary of the Association, . Irshad, Vice President, . Surinder Singh, Chief Organiser and . Mukhtar Ahmed, Secretary.
