Woman Commits Suicide in Kashmir

Srinagar – Yet another woman committed suicide, second during the past two days, in the Kashmir valley, official sources said here today.

They said a 21-year-old woman, who was not identified, strangled herself with a rope in her home at village Chee in Anantnag district.

Her family members brought her to District Hospital Anantnag where doctors declared her brought dead. Police has registered a case and initiated proceedings as it was not clear why she took the extreme step.

Yesterday, a 40-year-old woman committed suicide in Ganderbal by consuming poisonous substance.
