Srinagar – Four paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force personnel were injured, two of them seriously, when some unidentified persons lobbed a grenade Thursday at their battalion headquarters at Sopore in north Kashmirs Baramulla district, official sources said.
They said the persons targeted the battalion headquarters of 179 battalion of CRPF located in a hotel near the main bus stand in the heart of the town, 50 km from here.
“The grenade exploded injuring four CRPF troopers. They were immediately rushed to the nearby hospital. The condition of two is serious,” they said.
The area around the spot was immediately cordoned off by security forces for searches to track down the assailants.
