Srinagar – The Bodies of a woman, who had been missing for the past more than a week, and a youth were recovered from Jehlum river in Baramulla district, official sources said here today.
They said a complaint was lodged at the Boniyar police station in Baramulla that a 25-year-old Tabasum Begum had gone missing on September 18.
Immediately searches were conducted without any success, they said, adding the body was fished out from the river at Chahalan, Baramulla.
The cause of her death was being ascertained and police had initiated proceedings. They said another body of Firdous Ahmad Gashroo was also retrieved from by police at Bakshi Kul Bemina bypass. A case has been registered, they said, adding the cause of his death was yet to be known.
