Jammu The Divisional Level Inter-district under-19 Kabaddi and Kho-Kho Tournament, organized by Department of Youth Services and Sport, Jammu concluded here today.
Joint Director Information, Jammu, Mr. Soujanya Sharma, was the chief guest on the valedictory function.
A total number of 20 teams comprising 240 players of both the games drawn from ten districts of Jammu division participated in the said tournament.
The final match of Kabaddi was played between Jammu and Udhampur in which Jammu won after the tie breaker.
Similarly, Doda won the final Kho-Kho match, played between Doda and Rajouri.
The tournament was organised under the overall supervision of Deputy Director, Youth Services and Sports, Jammu, Mr. Ashok Kumar while the organizing secretary of the tournament was District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu, Mr. Tirath Ram Sharma.
Mr. Soujanya Sharma distributed prizes among the winner and runner up teams.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sharma exhorted upon the participants to follow the true principles of dedication and team work to achieve success in their endeavours. He said that devotion and targeted hardwork is the mantra of a good sportsperson.
