SRINAGAR: The Half Widow, a novel depicting the story of a woman whose husband was subjected to enforced disappearance, was today released at a function organized at Hotel Lala Rukh here.
The book written by Shafi Ahmad was released by Retired Justice B.A. Kirmani. The novel revolves round the struggle, troubles, difficulties and the helplessness faced by a half widow in search of her husband. The novel highlights the ordeal of life faced by half widows in a conflict engrossed society like Kashmir.
Columnists Z.G. Mohamad, Dr. Javaid Iqbal, Professor G.M. Dar and Aijaz ul Haq were present on the occasion.
