SRINAGAR: Amid tight security Bollywood filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj shot a sequence of his forthcoming movie ‘Haider’ at Press Enclave Srinagar on Monday. Scores of policemen were deployed to ensure safety of the Bollywood crew.
The presence of Irfan Khan and Shradha Kapoor attracted the attention of crowd and for a moment, it became difficult for police personnel to control them. However, policemen soon restored order and the sequence was shot smoothly.
Talking to newsmen, one of the crew members said that Haider was being shot entirely in Kashmir and scores of Kashmiri artists were working in the film. He said that the movie has been almost completed and for the climax, lead actor Shahid Kapoor is arriving Kashmir within one or two days.
With Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor playing the lead roles, Haider is said to be Bhardwajs adaptation of Shakespeares famous tragedy Hamlet. As Haider is almost fully being shot in the Valley, Bhardwaj has reportedly assured Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that the film would have nothing to harm the local sensibilities and the political aspirations. Last time the film Haider was in news after Kashmir University students objected disrupted shooting of a sequence of a fidayeen attack for this movie. Keeping that in view, foolproof security arrangements were put in place.
