Srinagar, Sept 22: Government Degree College, Baramulla Saturday stormed into the semi finals of Prof Yousuf Memorial Cricket Cup after beating SP College, Srinagar by six wickets.
The tournament is being played at the Islamia College of Science and Commerce grounds.
After winning the toss, SP College managed only 76 runs in the allotted 30 overs. Muneer Ahmad was top scorer with 14 runs and Adnan scored 11.
Aqib claimed four while as Majid claimed three wickets for G D C Baramulla
Chasing a paltry target of 77 runs GDC Baramullah team scored 77 runs in 13 overs after losing four wickets. Aqib and Sushil Kumar contributed with 36 and 14 runs respectively. Ubaid claimed two wickets and Zubair claimed one for S P College.
GDC Baramulla will play against the GDC Shopian in the first semi-finals to be played on September 24. Second semi-final match will be played between Gandhi Memorial College and Islamia College Alumni team.
The tournament is being organised by the Department of Physical Education Islamia College of Science and Commerce and sponsored by the JK Cricket Association.
