Srinagar- The J&K government on Friday accorded sanction to the establishment of ‘Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat References Monitoring Cell’ in the General Administration Department.
It has been established for expeditious follow-up and better coordination with the Administrative Departments and Deputy Commissioners as required for disposal of the representations or grievances received by Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, as per an order issued here.
The Cell shall be headed by Shabir Hussain Bhat (KAS), Additional Secretary to the Government, GAD.
“The Cell shall segregate all the references, petitions sent from the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat into two categories: Grievances about service delivery or non-performance of Government functions and small issues and other references,” reads the government order.
The grievances about service delivery or nonperformance of Government functions/small issues shall be sent to the concerned Deputy Commissioners or Departments for resolution, it reads.
“These will also be entered in the J&K Integrated Grievance Redress and Monitoring System.”
The ‘other references or petitions’ will be forwarded to the concerned departments for consideration, it added.
The government posted Vikas Verrna (KAS), awaiting orders of adjustment in the GAD, As Deputy Secretary, Nazir Ahmad Rather, also awaiting orders of posting in GAD as under Secretary, Mohammad Saleem Budoo, Head Assistant, Department of Tourism as Head Assistant and Nazar-ul-Islam, Junior Assistant, Department of Floriculture, Parks and Gardens Junior Assistant.
